208 Maryland Prince Georges County sc.t I hereby certify that negro Margaret Tilghman the bearer hereof a mulatto woman about forty six years of age five feet two and a half inches high ^has a scar in the mi^ the middle finger of the left hand with a crooked nail on said finger which appears to have been occasioned by a blow also a scar on the right arm occasioned by a cut That the said Margaret Tilghman is a free woman was set free by Francis M Hall & Richard L Hall ^of the County aforesaid^ by manumission duly acknowledged and Recorded in my office the thirty first day of December 1814 Identified by In Testimony &.c Francis M Hall cert granted June 9.th 1825 Aquila Beall Clk Maryland Prince Georges County s.t I hereby certify that Jane the bearer hereof who calls herself Jane Mitchell a bright mulatto girl about 18 years old 5.1 Inch high having a small Scar on her left elbow occasioned by a cut is a free girl & became entitled to her freedom by virtue of a Deed of Manumission from Ch.s Mitchell dated the 21 March 1816 & recorded among the Land Records of said county Identified by the affidavit cert grant.d 18 July 1835 of Spencer Mitchell filed A Beall Clk |
