207 Maryland Prince Georges County sc.t I hereby certify that negro Betty who calls herself Betsey Hawkins the bearer hereof a light mulatto woman about thirty five years of age five feet two and a half inches high with a small scar on the left hand above the last Joint of the thumb which appears to have been occasioned by a burn also a small mole on the upper lip near the left nostril That the said negro Betty is a free woman and was set free by Samuel Sprigg of the County aforesaid by a Deed of Manumission duly acknowledged & recorded among the Land Records of Prince Georges County aforesaid on the twenty first day of April 1808 In Testimony &.c Cert granted Ap.l 27.th 1835 Identified by mem for S Spriggs Esq Aquila Beall Clk P G C.ty Co.t Maryland Prince Georges County sc.t I hereby certify that the bearer hereof negro Nelly who calls herself Nelly Hawkins a bright mulatto Girl about twelve years of age four feet three inches high has perceptible scars or marks That the said Nelly Hawkins is a free girl and was set free by Samuel Sprigg of the County aforesaid by a Deed of Manumission duly acknowledged & recorded among the Land Records of said County on the twenty first day of April 1828 In Testimony &.c Cert granted Ap.l 27.th 1825 Identified by letter from Sam.l Sprigg Esq Aquila Beall Clk P G C.ty Co.t |
