                      I here certify that Eleanor Hanson a dark
       mulatto woman of colour about eighteen years of age five
       feet one Inch with a scar on the back of her right hand being
       occasioned by a burn that the said Eleanor Hanson is a
       free woman of colour being the Reputed Daughter of
       Milly Hanson a free woman of Colour
       Identified by         In Testimony sc
       Jn.o Brookes            cert.e granted 18.th April 1823
               Rec.d 31.st May 1832      Duplicate granted 4.th Nov 1847


       Maryland Prince Georges County sc.t

                   I hereby certify that the bearer hereof
       Joseph Isaac alias Isaac Dyal a coloured
       man of somewhat light complexion about thirty three
       years of age and about five feet seven or eight
       Inches high having no perceptable scar or mark
       (excepting a strait scar near his left eye) is a
       free man and obtained his freedom by virtue of a
       Deed of Manumission of Joseph P. Edelen bearing
       date the first day of February eighteen hundred
       and twelve and recorded among the Land Records
       of Prince Georges County
