201 as appears by a manumission from William Ross of the County aforesaid duly ^executed acknowledged^ and Recorded in my office the 17.th May 1824 Identified by In Testimony &.c I have hereto set my hand Joseph Owens & affixed &.c this 21.st May 1834 Aq Beall Clk Maryland Prince Georges County sc.t I hereby certify that the bearer hereof negro Nancy otherwise called Nancy Diggs a black woman about twenty Eight years of age five feet high has a long face and rather a sharp chin that the said Nancy is a free woman as by a manumission from Margaret Murdock duly acknowledged and recorded in my office the 5.th day of April 1821 will appear in Testimony &.c Aug.t 20.th 1824 Gassaway Pindell of a a County Aq Beall Clk Maryland Prince Georges County Sc.t I hereby certify that negro Thomas otherwise called Thomas Diggs the bearer hereof a Black man Twenty six years of age about five feet high has a small scar on the wrist of the right hand and a scar on his under lip which appears to have been occasioned by a cut that the said Thomas is a free man and was set free by |
