20 February Seventeen Hundred and Ninety eight duly executed acknowledged and recorded in one of the records of Prince Georges County In testimony whereof I do hereunto subscribe my name and affix the seal of Prince Georges County Court the twelfth day of December Eighteen Hundred and Nine John Read Magruder J.r Clk P G Cty C.t State of Maryland Prince Georges County to wit I hereby certify that the bearer hereof by the name of Benjamin Bacon about thirty years old of a dark complexion five feet six inches and a half high with remarkable small ears who wears his hair platted before and behind and who was born in Prince Georges County is a freeman being the son of a certain Negro Fanny set free by Samuel Snowden late of said county by Deed of Manumission bearing date the fourth day of February in the year one thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty Given under my hand and seal of office this fourteenth day of February in the year Eighteen Hundred and ten John R.
