19 Maryland Prince Georges County to wit I hereby certify that negro Fanny the bearer hereof being about the age of Twenty years of a dark yellow complexion four feet ten inches high who was raised in the family of Samuel Hepburn Deceased in Prince Georges County is a free woman and became entitled to her freedom by virtue of a Deed of Manumission from Alexander H. Boteler bearing date the ninth day of October in the year Eighteen Hundred and Nine and duly acknowledged and recorded in the clerks office of Prince Georges County Given under my hand and seal of office this twentieth day of October in the year of our lord one thousand eight Hundred and Nine John R.
