       Maryland Prince Georges County sct

                I hereby certify that William
       otherwise called William Smith the bearer
       hereof a bright mulatto man about twenty one
       years of age five feet & three quarter inches high
       has a small scar on the left side of his cheek
       that the said William Smith is a free man
       being the reputed son of Nancy Smith a free
       woman who became entitled to her freedom
       by the last will & testament of Lucy Wheeler
       bearing date the twenty eighth day of December
       seventeen hundred & ninety six

                         In Testimony &c
             certificate granted the 6.th April 1834

       Maryland Prince Georges County sc.t

             I hereby Certify that negro Charlotte otherwise
       called Charlotte Norris the bearer hereof a light mulitto
       woman about Nineteen years of age five feet five inches
       high with a small scar on the fore finger of the left hand
       that the said Charlotte Norris is a free woman and was
       set free by manumission proved   George Calvert duly Executed
