198 Maryland Prince Georges County Sc.t I hereby certify that Negro James otherwise called James Hall the Bearer hereof of a mulatto man about forty two years of age five feet five and a half inches high has a small scar over the right eye and a scar which seems to have been occasioned by a cut under the bottom of the left foot That the said James Hall is a free man and was set free by a Deed of Manumission ^from George Vemmes^ duly acknowledged and recorded in my office the 13.th day of March 1824 Identified by (seal) In Testimony &.c Basil Bowling Aquila Beall Sen March 18.th 1824 P G Cy Ct Maryland Prince Georges County to wit I hereby certify that Henry otherwise called Henry Smith the Bearer hereof a dark mulatto Boye about twenty years of age four feet ten inches high has a scar on his right hand is a free boy that the said Henry Smith being the reputed son of Nancy Smith as woman who held me entitled to her freedom by the last will & testament of Lucy Wheeler bearing date the twenty eighth day of December anno Domini seventeen hundred & ninety six Aquila Beall Clk In testimony &c April 4.th 1824 |
