192 Maryland Prince Georges County to wit I hereby certify that the bearer hereof negro Patience who calls herself Patience Cooper of a light complexion about thirty years old about five feet five and a half inches high having Slight scar on her left rist is a free woman being the reputed child of Nelly Cooper a free woman of Colour In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed (seal) my name and affixed the seal of the County Court of the County aforesaid this twenty seventh day of August Eighteen hundred & twenty three certificate given Aquila Beall Clk 29.th aug.t 1823 Maryland Prince Georges County to wit I hereby certify that the bearer hereof negro Mary who calls herself Mary Cooper (Seal) of a light complexion about twenty Eight years old about five feet five & three quarter inches high having a small scar on his right arm said to have been occasioned by a burn is a free woman being the reputed child of Nelly Cooper a free woman of Colour In testimony &c certificate granted 27.th 1823 |
