190 in the county aforesaid being the Son of Hannah Semmes a free black woman In Testimony &.c I have hereto set my hand aff.d f.d &c this 14.th May 1823 Aquila Beall Clk P G C.y C.t Maryland Prince Georges County sc.t I hereby certify that the bearer hereof negro Betsey otherwise called Betsey Williams the bearer hereof a very dark mulatto woman about twenty four years of age five feet one and three quarter inches high has a small scar on the forehead above the right Eye and a small scar on the second Joint of the left thumb that the said Betsey Williams is a free woman and was born free in the county aforesaid being the daughter of a negro woman named Kate who was formerly liberated by John Williams of said county In Testimony whereof I have hereto (seal) subscribed my name &.c this 11.th July 1823 aff.d f.d Aquila Beall Clk P G C.y C.t Maryland Prince Georges County sc.t I hereby certify that the bearer hereof negro Thomas who calls himself Thomas Hanson a man of dark Complexion about twenty four years of age five feet five and three quarter Inches high has two scars on the out side of left leg |
