       Deed of Manumission from Anthony Addison
       duly executed on the twenty eighth day of April
       Eighteen Hundred and four and recorded on
       the first day of May in the same year in
       the records of the county court of the county
       aforesaid

                Given under my hand and seal of office
                this Eighteenth day of April Eighteen
                Hundred and Nine

       Maryland Prince Georges County to wit

                I hereby certify that Thomas Lane the
       bearer hereof a black man about twenty two
       years old five feet eight inches high having
       a scar on his left leg rather on the inside of
       the shin bone who was raised near Queen
       Anne in the county aforesaid is a freeman and
       became entitled to his freedom in virtue of a
       Deed of Manumission from Anthony Addison     
       duly executed on the twenty eighth day of April
       Eighteen Hundred and four and recorded on the
       first day of May in the same year in the
       records of the county court of the county aforesaid
