       Maryland Prince Georges County to wit

             I hereby certify that Robert Lane the bearer
       hereby a lad of dark complexion about sixteen
       years old five feet four inches high having a
       small scar on the upper part of his left hand
       who was raised near Queen Anne on Prince
       Georges County is free and became entitled to
       his freedom in virtue of a Deed of manumission
       from Anthony Addison duly executed
       on the twenty eighth day of April Eighteen
       Hundred and four and recorded on the first
       day of May in the same year in the records
       of the county court of the county aforesaid

                   Given under my hand and seal of office
                   this Eighteenth day of April Eighteen
                   Hundred and Nine

                I hereby certify that the bearer hereof a Black
       Man by the name of Bill about Twenty eight years
       old five feet six inches high having a large knott
       on his left wrist who was raised by Samuel Judson
       Coolidge in the county aforesaid is a freeman
       and became entitled to his freedom in virtue of
       a Deed of Manumission from Benjamin Sprigg
       duly executed and recorded in the records of the
       county aforesaid    Given under my hand and seal
       of office this ninth day of May Eighteen hundred & Nine
