       Maryland Prince Georges County to wit

                I hereby certify that Charles Lane the
       bearer hereof a Black man about twenty six
       years old five feet eleven inches high having a   
       scar on his right side and on his left thumb
       who was raised in the family of Margaret
       Murdock Deceased near Queen Anne in
       Prince Georges County aforesaid is a freeman
       and became entitled to his freedom in virtue
       of a Deed of Manumission from Anthony
       Addison duly executed on the Eighth day of
       April Eighteen Hundred and four and recorded
       in the records of the county court of the
       county aforesaid

                   Given under my hand and seal of office
                   this second day of March Eighteen hundred
                   and Nine

       Lane a lad of dark complexion about Eighteen

       in Prince Georges County aforesaid is free and
