       Deed of Manumission from her Master Doctor
       William Beanes bearing date the Fifth day
       of January last and duly executed acknowledged
       and recorded in the records of the
       county aforesaid

                Given under my hand and seal of
                office this first day of April in the
                year one thousand eight Hundred & Nine

       Maryland Prince Georges County to wit

                I hereby certify that the bearer hereof Negro
       Charles a dark mulatto man five feet seven &
       an half inches high about twenty eight years old
       with a large mouth and a long flat nose who
       was ^rai^sed in the family of John Williams Deceased
       in Prince Georges County is a freeman and became
       entitled to his freedom in virtue of a Deed of
       Manumission from John Williams and Mary
       his wife bearing date the third day of December
       seventeen Hundred and Ninety one and recorded
       on the third day of May seventeen Hundred
       and Ninety two in one of the Land record
       Books of Prince Georges County

                Given under my hand and seal of office
                this seventh day of February in the year
                of our lord one thousand eight hundred and nine
