       a Freewoman being the daughter of a certain
       Mima Allen a free woman of colour

             Given under my hand and seal of office
             this fourth day of March in the year one

                I hereby certify that Joe a Boy about five
       feet four and an half inches high about twenty
       years old of bright yellow complexion large
       blue eyes and a large mouth who was raised
       in the family of M.r David Craufurd in the
       County of Prince Georges aforesaid was liberated
       and set free by his Master David Craufurd
       on the seventh day of the present month by
       Deed of manumission duly executed and recorded
       on the same day in my office

                Given under my hand and the seal of
