6-105. REPORTS OF CHIEF.

(A)  REQUIRED.

SUBJECT TO § 2-1312 OF THE STATE GOVERNMENT ARTICLE, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE OFFICE OF THE COMPTROLLER, THE CHIEF SHALL
SUBMIT TO THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY:

(1)  ON OR BEFORE JANUARY 31 OF EACH YEAR, A REPORT
FOR THE PERIOD FROM JULY 1 TO DECEMBER 31, BOTH INCLUSIVE, OF THE
PRECEDING CALENDAR YEAR; AND

(2)  ON OR BEFORE JULY 31 OF EACH YEAR, A REPORT FOR
THE PERIOD FROM JANUARY 1 TO JUNE 30, BOTH INCLUSIVE, OF THE
PRECEDING FISCAL YEAR.

(B)  CONTENTS.

EACH REPORT UNDER THIS SECTION SHALL CONTAIN, FOR THE PERIOD
THAT THE REPORT COVERS, AN ITEMIZED STATEMENT OF:

(1)  THE STATE REVENUES THAT HAD BEEN ESTIMATED TO BE
COLLECTED FROM ALL SOURCES;

(2)  THE STATE REVENUES THAT WERE COLLECTED' FROM THE
SOURCES;

(3)  ANY STATE REVENUES THAT WERE DUE FROM BUT NOT
COLLECTED FROM THE SOURCES; AND

(4)  ANY EXCESS STATE REVENUES THAT WERE COLLECTED
FROM THE SOURCES.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from former Art. 41, §
194(d).

Subsection (a) of this section is revised so that each
item of that subsection provides for a report that
covers a 6-month period. This revision allows concise
reference to the applicable period and, thus, avoids
an inconsistency as to the July report, which clearly
