THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS MAY EXEMPT SPECIFIC PROJECTS OF A
UNIT OF THE STATE GOVERNMENT FROM THE PROVISIONS OF THIS
SUBTITLE.

In subsection (a) of this section, the former
reference to the "Anne Arundel County Sanitary
Commission" is deleted as obsolete.

In subsection (a)(1) and (6) of this section, the word
"unit" is substituted for the former reference to an
"agency", for clarity and conformity.

In subsection (a)(6) of this section, the words
"municipal corporation" are substituted for the former
phrase "incorporated town or city", for clarity.

In subsection (b) of this section, the phrase "a unit
of the State government" is substituted for the former
phrase "departments or agencies of the State", for
brevity and to conform to similar provisions elsewhere
in this title.

The only other changes are in style.

4-403. GENERAL POWERS AND DUTIES OF DEPARTMENT.

(A) ASSISTANCE TO DEPARTMENT OF STATE PLANNING.

THE DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES SHALL ASSIST THE
DEPARTMENT OF STATE PLANNING:

(1)  IN DEVELOPING TECHNICAL DETAILS NECESSARY FOR THE
PREPARATION OF THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM FOR ANY UNIT OF
THE STATE GOVERNMENT; AND

(2)  IN ANY REGIONAL STUDY RELATING TO LAND
ACQUISITION, DEDICATION, LEASE, TRANSFER, AND THE LIKE.
