AN EMERGENCY ACT clarifying the definitions of "Person",
"Transient", and "Hotel or Motel"; providing for interest and
penalty on a failure to file a timely report; increasing interest
for late payment to 1% per month and penalty to 5% per month not
to exceed 25%; and making minor administrative and stylistic
changes, by amending Chapter 52, Taxation, Section 52-16, of the
Montgomery County Code, 1972, as amended.

Effective Date June 15, 1984.

Laws of Montgomery County, 1984

AN ACT to amend Chapter 52, title "Taxation", of the
Montgomery County Code 1972, as amended by enacting a new Article
VI, Sections 52-41 through 52-45, title "Tax Credit for Historic
Preservation", to provide for a tax credit against County real
property taxes in order to encourage the restoration and
preservation of privately-owned structures located in the County
and having historic or architectural value, in accordance with
certain provisions set forth in State law.

Effective Date September 18, 1984.
