AN ACT to amend Chapter 52, title "Taxation" of the
Montgomery County Code, 1972, as amended, by repealing and
reenacting with amendments Section 52-7, title "Same--Purchase by
county taxpayers; denominations; increase in value; form;
redemption; nontransferable; limitation on amount issued; lost or
stolen certificates" for the purpose of altering the provisions
concerning tax anticipation certificates for property taxes;
providing that the certificates accrue interest; limiting the
amount of certificates that the County may issue; providing that
the County Executive may adopt regulations; and making stylistic
and technical changes.

Effective Date September 13, 1984.

AN ACT to add a new Chapter 9A, title "Council Commission on
the Humanities" to the Montgomery County Code 1972, as amended,
to provide for the establishment of the Montgomery County Council
Commission on the Humanities and to provide for the composition,
appointment, tenure, vacancies, compensation and duties of the
Commission and termination date of the Commission.

Effective Date September 13, 1984.

AN EMERGENCY ACT to amend the requirement that a committee
ceases to exist when the term of the committee expires, and to
retroactively reestablish certain committees and ratify the
actions of those committees, by amending Chapter 2,
"Administration", Section 2-146, of the Montgomery County Code,
1972, as amended.

Effective Date June 14, 1984.
