Laws of Montgomery County, 1984

AN ACT to amend Article II, title "Solicitors" of Chapter
47, title "Solicitors, Hawkers and Peddlers" of the Montgomery
County Code 1972, as amended, by amending Section 47-8, title
"Definitions" for the purpose of requiring the licensing, as
solicitors, of persons who go from door to door offering services
to be delivered in the future; and by amending Section 47-18,
title "Persons exempt from article" for the purpose of
prohibiting youth from soliciting during certain hours, exempting
realtors from the provisions of the Article on solicitors.

Effective Date February 13, 1984.

Laws of Montgomery County, 1984

AN EMERGENCY ACT to amend Chapter 47, laws of Montgomery
County 1983, Bill 31-83, which amended Chapter 8A, title "Cable
Communications" of the Montgomery County Code, 1972, as amended,
to correct a technical defect in Section 8A-17, title
"Revocation; nonrenewal of franchise" by inserting "* * *"
following subsection (e)(1), title "Continuity of service
mandatory".

Effective Date November 28, 1983.

AN ACT to amend Chapter 29 "Landlord-Tenant Relations" of
the Montgomery County Code, 1972, as amended, Section 29-1
"Definitions", Section 29-4 "Applicability of chapter", Section
29-17 "Penalty for failure to license or to comply with
commission orders or summons", Section 29-18 "Licensing
procedures", Section 29-20 "Display of license", Section 29-21
"Inspection of rental facilities", Section 29-23
"Transferability", and Section 29-26 "Contents of lease" for the
purpose of licensing accessory apartments.

Effective Date March 15, 1984.
