CHARTER AMENDMENT RESOLUTION NO. 002-84
COMMISSIONERS OF POOLESVILLE
A RESOLUTION of The Commissioners of Poolesville adopted pursuant
to the authority of Article 11E of the Constitution of
Maryland and Section 13 of Article 23A of the 1957 Annotated
Code of Maryland (1981 Replacement Volume and 1983 Cum.
Supp.), title, "Corporations - Municipal", subtitle "Home
Rule", to amend Section 82-4, title "Same - Election of
President; vacancies" of Part I of the Poolesville Code
being a part of the municipal charter of The Commissioners
of Poolesville, to amend the provisions therein requiring
the President of The Commissioners of Poolesville, except in
emergency situations as defined by ordinance, to obtain the
approval of three Commissioners for any expenditure of Town
funds in excess of five hundred dollars ($500.00) by
providing that such approval shall be required for any
expenditure of Town funds in excess of an amount to be
established and approved annually by the Commissioners at
the same time the budget is adopted.
