AMEND THE CHARTER

FOR THE TOWN OF DENTON

TO MAKE TECHNICAL

AND GRAMMATICAL CORRECTIONS

WHEREAS, a number of technical or grammatical mistakes has
been found in the current Municipal Charter for the Town of
Denton, and WHEREAS, the Commissioners of Denton desire to
correct same without any intent of changing any substantive
portion of the existing Town Charter.

[Section 201.1, 207.1, 207.2, 310.0, 312.0, 400.2, 622.1,
1301.5, 1302.0, 1304.0, 1306.1, 1307.2 and 1311.1 of the Charter
of the Town of Denton, Caroline County, as found in the
compilation of Municipal Charters of Maryland (1983 Edition),
repealed and reenacted, with amendments.

85-CR-001

A Resolution of the Mayor and Town Council of the Town of
Edmonston, adopted pursuant to the authority of Article XI-E of
the Constitution of the State of Maryland and Sections XII and
XIII of Article 23-A of the Annotated Code of Maryland, (1981
Repl. Vol.) to amend Section 16 of the Charter of the Town of
Edmonston to change the maximum permissible tax rate from fifty
cents ($0.50) for each one hundred dollars ($100.00) of assessed
property value to seventy-five cents ($0.75) for each one hundred
dollars ($100.00) of assessed property value.

WHEREAS, the Mayor and Town Council of Edmonston deem it
