HARRY HUGHES, Governor

3891

This bill repeals Anne Arundel County's limited exemption
from the provisions of the Health-Environmental Article
authorizing a political subdivision to create a water and sewer
authority, and expands the exemption for Prince George's County
from these provisions.

House Bill 540, which was passed by the General Assembly and
signed by me on May 28, 1985, accomplishes the same purpose.
Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign Senate Bill 587.

Sincerely,
Harry Hughes
Governor

Senate Bill No. 587

AN ACT concerning

Anne Arundel County and Prince George's Counties -
Water and Sewer Authorities

FOR the purpose of removing a certain exemption from the Water
and Sewer Authority Law that had exempted certain portions
of Anne Arundel County from the application of that law;
allowing the Water and Sewer Authority Law to apply
throughout Anne Arundel County; expanding, in Prince
George's County, the exemption from the Water and Sewer
Authority Law to exempt the entire county from the
application of that law; and making this Act contingent on
the passage of another Act.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
