SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect on July 1, 1985, contingent on the taking effect of

Chapter ____ of the Acts of 1985 (S.B. ____) (51rl364), and if

Chapter ____ does not become effective, this Act is null and void

without the necessity of further action by the General Assembly.

Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland
Constitution, I have today vetoed Senate Bill 671.

This bill prohibits the Board of Registration for
Professional Land Surveyors from registering new applicants after
June 30, 1990.

House Bill 1330, which was passed by the General Assembly
and signed by me on May 21, 1985, accomplishes the same purpose.
Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign Senate Bill 671.

AN ACT concerning

Licenses and Registration - Property Line Surveyors

FOR the purpose of prohibiting the Board of Registration for
Professional Land Surveyors from registering any new
applicants as property line surveyors after a certain date;
permitting property line surveyors who are registered before
