(House Bill 70)

AN ACT concerning

Public Records - Retired State Employees - Release of Information

FOR the purpose of requiring the Board of Trustees for Maryland
State Retirement and Pension Systems to adopt certain
regulations regarding the inspection and publication of the
names and addresses of certain retired State employees;

providing that certain supplemental lists be issued;

providing that a retired State employee be permitted to
exclude his or her name and address from the list; providing
for the development of procedures and standards for the
approval or denial of application requests for the release
of certain information concerning retired State employees;
prohibiting an employee organization from using or selling
the names and addresses it obtains from the Board of
Trustees; providing that this Act shall take effect on a
certain date; and generally relating to access to and the
release of certain information contained in public records
about retired State employees.
