WHEREAS, Under this "zoning" experiment, Maryland no longer
has the ability to split its duck hunting season into 3 segments
but is limited to 2 splits; and

WHEREAS, The early duck hunting season had numerous
advantages for the hunting of ducks; now, therefore,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

THE SECRETARY SHALL TAKE ALL NECESSARY AND REASONABLE
ACTIONS TO REINSTITUTE AN EARLY SEASON TO HUNT DUCKS IN THE STATE
AFTER THE CONCLUSION OF THE 3-YEAR TEST PERIOD THAT BEGAN IN
1983.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1985.

AN ACT concerning

Vehicle Laws - Alcoholic Beverages

FOR the purpose of prohibiting a person from consuming an
alcoholic beverage while driving on a State highway highway
of this State; and providing a certain maximum penalty for a
violation of any of the provisions of this Act.
