shall be determined by the County Commissioners.
Article 33 - Election Code
2-3.
(a) Each member of the boards of the several political
subdivisions of the State shall receive an annual salary of not
less than the following amounts:
(12) Garrett County:
(i) President [$1,800] $2,000; and
(ii) Members [$1,500] $1,700 each.
(b) (1) [Each] EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN PARAGRAPHS (2) OF THIS
SUBSECTION, EACH substitute member of the board shall receive
compensation for each day he serves as a member, in an amount
determined by the county commissioners, county councils, or the
Mayor and City Council of Baltimore. A substitute member shall
attend all regularly scheduled meetings of the board and shall be
compensated at a rate of not less than $25 per day.
(2) IN GARRETT COUNTY, A SUBSTITUTE MEMBER OF THE
BOARD SHALL RECEIVE $40 FOR EACH MEETING ATTENDED.
Article - Courts and Judicial Proceedings

(m) (1) The Sheriff of Garrett County shall receive a
salary of at least [$19,500] $26,000 and a sum set by the County
Commissioners, for expenses. He shall employ deputies as needed,
within the budgetary limits, at salaries of at least $5,200 each,
one of whom shall act as warden of the jail, and a matron for the
jail who shall also perform clerical duties at the salary set by
the Sheriff. He may employ additional special deputies whose
compensation shall be approved by the County Commissioners.
Article - Education
3-4A-03.
(A) Each member of the County Board is entitled to receive
$200 annually for travel and other expenses REIMBURSEMENT FOR
TRAVEL EXPENSES TO AND FROM BOARD MEETINGS HELD IN THE COUNTY AT
THE RATE GARRETT COUNTY PAYS FOR MILEAGE.
(B) (1) EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN PARAGRAPH (2) OF THIS
SUBSECTION, EACH MEMBER OF THE COUNTY BOARD IS ENTITLED TO
RECEIVE AS COMPENSATION $200 FOR EACH REGULARLY SCHEDULED MEETING
ATTENDED.
(2) A MEMBER OF THE COUNTY BOARD MAY NOT BE
COMPENSATED FOR MORE THAN 12 MEETINGS EACH YEAR.
