Ch. 230

(2)  THE CLERK SHALL PAY THE PROCEEDS FROM THE
ADDITIONAL FEE TO THE COUNTY TREASURER EACH MONTH;

(3)  THE PROCEEDS IN ADDITION TO DESIGNATED FEDERAL
FUNDS AND COUNTY FUNDS SHALL BE GIVEN TO CECIL COUNTY DEPARTMENT
OF SOCIAL SERVICES ADVISORY BOARD TO BE USED TO FUND BATTERED
SPOUSE SHELTERS AND DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PROGRAMS; AND

(4)  THE CECIL COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES
ADVISORY BOARD SHALL PREPARE AND MAKE AVAILABLE TO THE BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AN ANNUAL REPORT ON OR BEFORE DECEMBER 1 OF
EACH YEAR OF THE DISPOSITION OF FEES COLLECTED UNDER THIS
SUBSECTION DURING THE PREVIOUS FISCAL YEAR.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1985.

CHAPTER 231

(Senate Bill 769)

AN ACT concerning

Creation of a State Debt - Eutaw Place Temple

FOR the purpose of authorizing the creation of a State Debt in
the amount of $260,000 $250,000, the proceeds to be used as
a grant to the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge Free
and Accepted Masons of Maryland and Its Jurisdiction, Inc.,
for the purpose of the renovation, restoration,
reconstruction, and rehabilitation of the exterior and dome
roof of the Eutaw Place Temple located in Baltimore City,
subject to the requirement that the Most Worshipful Prince
Hall Grand Lodge Free and Accepted Masons of Maryland and
Its Jurisdiction, Inc., provide at least an equal and
matching fund of a certain kind for the same purpose by a
certain date; prohibiting the use of the loan proceeds or
any matching funds for certain religious or fraternal
purposes; providing that certain easements be granted to the
Maryland Historical Trust; and providing generally for the
issue and sale of bonds evidencing the loan.

Preamble

WHEREAS, The Eutaw Place Temple, built in 1892 to house the
Oheb Shalom Congregation, is the fourth oldest synagogue in
Baltimore City and is one of the most magnificent examples of
Renaissance-style architecture in the nation, having its design
inspired by the Israelite Temple in Florence, Italy; and
