FOR the purpose of creating the position of Deputy Assistant
Adjutant General for Army.

FOR the purpose of renaming the position of "deputy commander,
State area command" to be "Deputy Assistant Adjutant General for
Army".

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 65 - Militia

9.

(h) A deputy [commander, State area command] ASSISTANT
ADJUTANT GENERAL FOR ARMY shall be appointed by the Governor and
his term of office shall be at the pleasure of the Governor. The
deputy [commander] ASSISTANT ADJUTANT GENERAL FOR ARMY shall have
a commissioned grade not above that of brigadier general and
shall perform the military duties assigned by the Governor or by
the Adjutant General.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1985.

AN ACT concerning

Somerset County - Borrowing Authority

FOR the purpose of authorizing the Board of County Commissioners
of Somerset County to borrow a certain amount of money from
certain entities, agencies, or institutions at public or
private sale and at certain rates of interest to assist in
the funding of the construction and equipping of a county
jail facility; and making this Act an emergency measure.

BY adding to
