[(h) The Council may accept] (11) ACCEPT and administer
gifts, grants, and appropriations from the federal government or
any other person on the terms and conditions provided by law.
21-105.
The State Board of Education, the State Board for Higher
Education, the State Board for Community Colleges, the Department
of Human Resources, the Department of Economic and Community
Development, THE DEPARTMENT OF EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING, the board
of regents of the University of Maryland, the board of trustees
of State universities and colleges, the [State Manpower Services
Council,] GOVERNOR'S EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING COUNCIL, and all
other appropriate State agencies shall cooperate with the State
[Advisory] Council on Vocational-Technical Education in supplying
any studies and reports requested by the Council. In return, the
Council shall supply copies of its reports and studies on
request.
21-106.
The State [Advisory] Council shall have the staff provided
in the State budget.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That of the members
initially appointed, 5 members shall be appointed for a term
expiring March 15, 1986; 4 members shall be appointed for a term
expiring March 15, 1987; and 4 members shall be appointed for a
term expiring March 15, 1988.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency measure and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety and having
been passed by a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of
all the members elected to each of the two Houses of the General
Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date of its
passage.
