AN ACT concerning

Charles County - Interest on Overdue Taxes - Rate
of Redemption in Tax Sales

FOR the purpose of providing that the governing body of Charles
County may fix the rate of redemption applicable to tax
sales in Charles County; and providing for the application
of this Act.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 81 - Revenue and Taxes

(b) The rate of redemption is 6 percent per annum except as
follows:

(11) In Somerset, CHARLES, Wicomico, and Worcester
counties the rate is 6 percent per annum or as fixed by the
county commissioners or by resolution of the county council.
