the extent that the power contained in them is continuing and has
not been exercised, unless any law is expressly repealed by this
Act, and the validity of any bonds issued under previously
enacted laws is hereby ratified, confirmed, and approved. This
Act, being necessary for the welfare of the inhabitants of the
County, shall be liberally construed to effect its purposes. All
Acts and parts of Acts inconsistent with the provisions of this
Act are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.

SECTION 10. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1985.

AN ACT concerning

Queen Anne's County - Board of Education - Salaries

FOR the purpose of altering the amount paid annually to the
Chairman and Members of the Queen Anne's County Board of
Education for traveling and other expenses.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Education

4-106.

(f) (3) Each member of the county board of the counties
specified in this paragraph shall receive the enumerated amounts
annually for traveling and other expenses.

(v) Queen Anne's County:

1. Member..............[$600] $1,000; and

2. Chairman................[$800] $1,200.
