(b) (1) The term of a member is 3 years.

(2)  The terms of the , members are staggered as
required by the terms provided for members of the .[State]
MARYLAND Advisory Council on July 1, 1982. The terms of one
third of those members end each year.

(3)  At the end of a term, a member continues to serve
until a successor is appointed and qualifies.

(4)  A member who is appointed after a term has begun
serves only for the rest of the term and until a successor is
appointed and qualifies.

10-303.

(a)  From among its members, the [State] MARYLAND Advisory
Council shall elect a chairman and a vice chairman.

(b)  The manner of election of officers and their terms of
office shall be as the [State] MARYLAND Advisory Council
determines.

10-304.

(a)  (1) The [State] MARYLAND Advisory Council shall meet at
the times and places that it determines.

(2) At least 2 meetings a year shall be held jointly
with the State Advisory Council on Alcoholism Control and the
State Advisory Council on Drug Abuse.

(b)  A member of the [State] MARYLAND Advisory Council:

(1) May not receive compensation; but
