SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1985.

(House Bill 63)

AN ACT concerning

State Advisory Council on Mental Hygiene

FOR the purpose of altering the name of the State Advisory
Council on Mental Hygiene to be the Maryland Advisory
Council on Mental Hygiene.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article - Health - General

Section 10-301, 10-302, 10-303, 10-304, and 10-305

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1982 Volume and 1984 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Health - General

10-301.

There is a [State] MARYLAND Advisory Council on Mental
Hygiene in the Administration.

10-302.

(a) (1) The [State] MARYLAND Advisory Council consists of
18 members appointed by the Governor.

(2) The [State] MARYLAND Advisory Council shall
include representatives from a broad range of agencies and groups
that are concerned directly or indirectly with mental hygiene,
such as any of the following:

(i) Courts.

(ii) Police.

(iii) Probation offices.

(iv) Clergy.
