AN ACT concerning

Howard County - Alcoholic Beverages -
Wine Sampling Licenses

FOR the purpose of altering the number of wine sampling licenses
to be issued in Howard County; and altering the time period
for issuing these licenses in the County.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

Section 36(b)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

36.

(b) (1) In Howard County, the board of license
commissioners may issue a WS (wine sampling) license to bona fide
nonprofit organizations.

(2)  The WS license permits the consumption of wine
only for tasting or sampling purposes on Class B licensed
premises with authorization of the licensee or on nonlicensed
premises.

(3)  The licensee may not serve more than 2 ounces
from each given brand to any one person.

(4)  The bona fide nonprofit organization shall apply
for a WS license at least 15 days prior to the day on which the
license will be used.

(5)  The board of license commissioners may not issue
more than [1 WS licenses to any one bona fide nonprofit
organization in any given month] 12 WS LICENSES TO ANY 1 BONA
FIDE NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION IN ANY GIVEN LICENSE YEAR.
