10-308.1.

(e) (3) To encourage waterfowl habitat conservation
on private lands, the [Wildlife Administration] DEPARTMENT shall
implement a 10 year licensing agreement for approved projects on
privately owned lands detailing the landowner's responsibilities.
Expenditures by private landowners on private land for these
waterfowl projects approved by the [Wildlife Administration]
DEPARTMENT and covered by the licensing agreement shall be
considered a contribution to the State of Maryland.

10-410.

(o) (1) In Baltimore, Montgomery, and Prince George's
counties, a person may not use, set, place, or maintain any steel
jaw leghold trap on land. The steel jaw leghold trap may be used
for the capture of fur-bearing mammals in water only.

(2) This subsection does not apply to:

(i) Traps set on farmland by the owner of the
farmland, by his agent or tenant, his lessee, or by any member of
his immediate family who resides on the farmland; or

(ii) Traps set by an authorized agent of the
Maryland [Wildlife Administration] FOREST, PARK AND WILDLIFE
SERVICE who exercises his duties for wildlife control under
guidelines established by the [Administration] DEPARTMENT.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1984.

FOR the purpose of requiring that originals of papers pertaining

to certain claims be filed with the Secretary of Public

Safety and Correctional Services and copies of those papers

be filed with the Comptroller and the Secretary of Budget

and Fiscal Planning.
