SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 41 - Governor - Executive and Administrative

Departments

188A.

(d) After investigation of any such claim the Board shall
either approve, approve with conditions and limitations, or
disapprove it. The Board shall append to the original papers
representing such claim, a concise statement of facts developed
by the proceedings upon which its approval or disapproval is
based. Such original papers and appended statements shall be
filed in the office of the [Comptroller] SECRETARY OF PUBLIC
SAFETY AND CORRECTIONAL SERVICES, and copies shall be kept in the
offices of the [Secretary of Public Safety and Correctional
Services] COMPTROLLER and of the Secretary of Budget and Fiscal
Planning. The original papers representing such claim and any
other matters pertaining thereto shall constitute a permanent
claims record.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1984.
