AN ACT to amend Section 2-70, title "Council staff director,
secretary and other employees - Appointment;- duties of
secretary", Section 2-71, title "Same - Supervision", Section
2-72, title "Journal and minutes", Section 2-74, title "Permanent
records", and Section 2-75, title "Appointments" of Division 2,
title "County Council" of Chapter 2, title "Administration" of
the Montgomery County Code 1972, as amended, for the purpose of
eliminating requirements for a County Council Staff Director in
the Merit System.

Effective June 22, 1983.

AN ACT to amend Chapter 41A, title "Rent Supplement and
Assistance Program" of the Montgomery County Code, 1972, as
amended, to extend the sunset provision of the Rent Supplement
Program and to comply the Chapter with other amended sections of
the Code.

Effective July 1, 1983.

AN EMERGENCY ACT to amend Article VI, title "Local Drug
Abuse Advisory Council" of Chapter 24, title "Health and
Sanitation" of the Montgomery County Code 1972, as amended, for
the purpose of establishing a quorum of the Council to be a
majority of the voting members.

Effective April 1, 1983.
