Bill No. 40

AN ACT repealing and re-enacting Subtitle 3 "Disposal of
Unclaimed Personal Property" of Title 4 "Contracts and
Purchasing" of the Howard County Code in order to provide
definitions of property and weapons, to require notification of
the owner, to authorize the County Executive to dispose of
property and weapons, to require the County Executive to
advertise the proposed disposition of property and weapons, to
set forth details of the return, sale, donation, scrapping and
conversion to public use of property and weapons and to provide
for police custody of property and weapons.

Effective Date September 6, 1983.

Bill No. 41

AN ACT amending Section 18.604(q) of the Howard County Code
in order to clarify the type of wastes acceptable at county-owned
and/or county-operated landfills.

Effective Date September 5, 1983.

Bill No. 42

AN ACT to add Section 18.211, "Notice of Preliminary and
Final Design of Bridge or Roadway Construction or Reconstruction
Capital Projects" to Subtitle 2 "Roads" of Title 18 "Public
Works" of the Howard County Code, for the purpose of giving
notice to the public when the preliminary and final designs of
bridge or roadway construction or reconstruction capital projects
are available and to give notice of public meetings; on such
projects.

Effective Date September 12, 1983.
