AN ACT concerning

Purchasing

FOR the purpose of increasing the surety bond of the
purchasing agent; increasing the dollar limitation on certain
purchases and sales requiring competitive bidding; providing that
contracts shall be awarded to the lowest responsive and
responsible bidder; changing certain procedures in the award of
contracts; providing that bid deposits may be taken as liquidated
damages under certain circumstances; and making certain stylistic
and grammatical changes; and to reflect the Charter amendments
contained in Bill No. 117-82.
