CHARTER AMENDMENT NO. 82-3

AMENDING SECTIONS 37, 38 AND 50 OF THE TOWN CHARTER RELATING TO
FINANCE AND AUDITS

WHEREAS, The Council Finance Committee recognizes the need
to reconstitute the Fiscal Office of Glenarden so that the
responsibilities for the implementation of fiscal policy and the
supervision and evaluation of the fiscal staff shall reside with
the position of Treasurer.

WHEREAS, There is a need to require that the findings of the
annual audit are provided, at the same time, to the Council as
well as the Mayor.

WHEREAS, Sections 37, 38 and 50 of the Town Charter require
revisions to provide for these changes,

[Sections 37, 38, and 50 of the Charter of the Town of
Glenarden, Prince George's County, repealed and reenacted, with
amendments.

Effective Date June 29, 1982]

CHARTER AMENDMENT NO.: 82-2

AMENDING SECTION 48 OF THE TOWN
CHARTER, RELATING TO PURCHASES
AND CONTRACTS.

ORDINANCE NO.: 0-21-82

WHEREAS, the Administration deems it necessary for
administrative purposes to, from time to time, update and
streamline, administrative procedures and ordinances related
thereto;

WHEREAS, Section 48 of the Town Charter related to Purchases
and Contracts was last revised in 1974; and

WHEREAS, it is desirable and necessary to update Section 48
and to authorize multi-year contracting for Town services.

[Section 48 of the Charter of the Town of Glenarden, Prince
George's County repealed and Sections 48-1 through 48-12 added.

Effective Date February 7, 1983]
