Be it RESOLVED by the Garrett Park Town Council that Sec. 54-19,
"Enforcement of Ordinances," of the Garrett Park Charter be
repealed and re-enacted with amendments as follows:

[Section 54-19 of the Charter of the Town of Garrett Park,
Montgomery County, repealed and reenacted, with amendments,

Effective Date June 13, 1983]

CHARTER AMENDMENT 81-2, RELATED TO THE FILLING OF COUNCIL
VACANCIES

WHEREAS, the Town Council recently adopted amendments to the
Town Charter which implemented a ward system in Glenarden; and

WHEREAS, the adoption of a ward system necessitates changes
to the current method of filling vacancies on the Town Council.

[Section 33A.(2) of the Charter of the Town of Glenarden,
Prince George's County, as found in the compilation of Municipal
Charters of Maryland (1983 Edition), repealed and added.
