[(2) The State share is 55 percent of the current
expenses, but not more than $1,384 per full-time equivalent
student for:

(i) Any community college with     less than 500

full-time equivalent students if the county     in which the

community college is located has a population     of less than
50,000; and

(ii) Any regional community college if the
counties that support the regional community college have a
combined population of less than 150,000.]

[(3) ] (2) The EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN PARAGRAPH (4) OF
THIS SUBSECTION, THE State share is 55 percent of the current
expenses for Cecil Community College, Garrett Community College,
Chesapeake College, and Wor-Wic Tech Community College, but not
more than [$1,619] $1,724 $1,720 per full-time equivalent
student.

[(4)] (3) Except for Cecil Community College, Garrett
Community College, Chesapeake College, and Wor-Wic Tech Community
College, the State shall grant to each board of trustees for
community colleges in this State:

(i) A flat AN ANNUAL grant of [$200,000]

$275,000 $270,000; and

(ii) [$10] $15 $14 per part-time credit student
enrolled in the respective community college.

(4) FOR FISCAL YEAR 1985, AND EACH FISCAL YEAR
THEREAFTER, THE EMPLOYER SOCIAL SECURITY CONTRIBUTIONS FOR ANY
ELIGIBLE POSITION PAID BY THE STATE MAY NOT EXCEED 6.13 6.70
PERCENT OF THAT PART OF THE SALARY PAID INCLUDED WITHIN THE
SOCIAL SECURITY WAGE BASE AS DEFINED IN FEDERAL LAW.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1984.
