evidencing the loan; and amending Chapter 520 of the Acts of
1982, the General Construction Loan of 1982, as amended by
Chapter 670 of the Acts of 1983, the General Construction
Loan of 1983, to delete the requirement that Emergency

Housing Units at the Roxbury Correctional Complex in

Hagerstown be used only until new permanent facilities are
completed. amending Chapter 724 of the Acts of 1981, the
General Construction Loan of 1981 to allow planning for use
of the Baltimore Gas and Electric # 1 site for inmate work
programs and restrict the use; amending Chapter 520 of the
Acts of 1982, the General Construction Loan of 1982 as
amended by Chapter 670 of the Acts of 1983, the General
Construction Loan of 1983 to restrict expenditure of
unexpended proceeds for Hart-Miller Islands and to delete
the requirement that Emergency Housing Units at the Roxbury
Correctional Complex in Hagerstown be used only until new
permanent facilities are completed; and amending Chapter 670
of the Acts of 1983, the General Construction Loan of 1983
to remove a restriction as to the location of a Regional
Headquarters Building for the Department of Natural
Resources Police.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Chapter 520 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1982, as
amended by Chapter 670 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of 1983

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Chapter 670 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1983
Section 1(3)(D)(5)(a)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That:

(1) The Board of Public Works may borrow money and incur
indebtedness on behalf of the State of Maryland through a State
loan to be known as the General Construction Loan of 1984 in the
aggregate principal amount of $119,171,000 $117,823,000
$117,193,000. This loan shall be evidenced by the issuance and
sale of State general obligation bonds authorized by a resolution
of the Board of Public Works and issued, sold and delivered in
accordance with the provisions of §§ 19 to 23 of Article 31 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1983 Replacement Volume, as
amended from time to time).
