SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Natural Resources

4-701.

(d) (1) The following annual license fees shall apply:

(v) To catch crabs for noncommercial purposes
pursuant to § 4-804(c):

1. Resident..................... [$5] $10

2 . Nonresident....................... $20

4-804.

(c) (1) Any person desiring to catch crabs in the waters of
the State for noncommercial purposes by using a trotline in
excess of 300 500 feet first shall obtain a license.

(2)  Only one occupant on a boat used to catch crabs
for noncommercial purposes shall be required to have a license.
The daily catch of the boat shall be limited to 3 2 bushels per
licensee.

(3)  A person holding a commercial crabber's license
to catch crabs for sale may catch crabs for noncommercial
purposes in accordance with the provisions of this section
without paying the fee for noncommercial crabbing.

(4) A PERSON WHO CATCHES CRABS FOR NONCOMMERCIAL
PURPOSES MAY NOT:

(I) START TO CATCH CRABS UNTIL SUNRISE; OR

(II) CATCH CRABS BY USING A TROTLINE OR BY
SETTING CRAB POTS WITHIN 100 YARDS OF A TROTLINE THAT BELONGS TO
A PERSON WHO HAS A COMMERCIAL LICENSE TO CATCH CRABS.

(4) A PERSON MAY NOT COME WITHIN 50 YARDS OF A
TROTLINE THAT ANOTHER PERSON PREVIOUSLY HAS SET.

(4) A PERSON MAY NOT SET OR FISH A TROTLINE OR
COLLAPSIBLE CRAB TRAP WITHIN 50 FEET OF A TROTLINE.
