(c)] The Board may waive any examination requirement under
this section if the Board considers the applicant to be
recognized as outstanding in the field of environmental
[sanitation] HEALTH.

[17-307.] 5.5-307 306.

(a)  Subject to the provisions of this section, the Board
may make a reciprocal agreement with any other state to waive any
examination requirement of this title for an applicant who is
certified as a registered [sanitarian or sanitarian in training]
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH PRACTITIONER SANITARIAN OR ITS EQUIVALENT in
that state.

(b)  An agreement made under this section may allow the
Board to grant a waiver only if the applicant:

(1)  Pays the application fee required by [§ 17-303]
5.5-303 of this subtitle; and

(2)  Provides adequate evidence that the applicant:

(i) Meets the qualifications otherwise required
by this title; and

(ii) Became certified in the other state after
passing in that or any other state an examination that is similar
to the examination for which the applicant is seeking the waiver.

(c)  An agreement may be made with another state under this
section only if, under the agreement, the other state waives the
examination of registered [sanitarians or sanitarians in
training] ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH PRACTITIONERS SANITARIANS of this
State to a similar extent as this State waives the examination
requirements for individuals certified in that state.

[17-308.] 5.5-398 307.

(a)  The Board shall certify and issue the appropriate
certificate to any applicant who meets the requirements of this
title.

(b)  The Board shall include on each certificate that it
issues:

(1)  The designation "registered [sanitarian" or
"sanitarian in training"] ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH PRACTITIONER
SANITARIAN";

(2)  The name of the certificate holder;

(3)  The date of issue and serial number of the
certificate;

(4) The Board seal; and
