of this article, and after deducting the sum of $22,000,000 to be
allocated to the general fund of the State, shall distribute
monthly from the remaining funds:
(1) [16] 5.6 16 percent to the gasoline and motor
vehicle revenue account in the Transportation Trust Fund; and
(2) [32] 8 16 percent to the Transportation Revenue
Sharing Account in the Transportation Trust Fund. All other
amounts shall be credited to the general fund.
Article - Transportation
3-401.
(a) There is a Transportation Revenue Sharing Account in
the Transportation Trust Fund.
(b) The following revenues shall be credited to the
Transportation Revenue Sharing Account:
(1) 20 percent of the vehicle titling tax; and
(2) The revenue disbursed to this account under §
288A of Article 81.
(c) During each. fiscal year, the [account] REVENUES
CREDITED UNDER SUBSECTION (B)(1) OF THIS SECTION account shall be
distributed as follows:
(1) 75 76 percent [of the fund] shall be credited to
the Transportation Trust Fund for the account of the Department;
(2) Every county which has less than 1 percent of the
total population of the State, as determined by the Department of
Health and Mental Hygiene, shall receive 1 percent AND BALTIMORE
CITY SHALL RECEIVE 10 PERCENT of the balance [of the revenues in
the fund]; and
(3) The remaining funds shall be divided among
Baltimore City and the remaining counties proportionally on the
basis of their population as of July 1 of the year of the grant
as determined by the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
(D) DURING EACH FISCAL YEAR, THE REVENUES CREDITED UNDER
SUBSECTION (B)(2) OF THIS SECTION SHALL BE DISTRIBUTED AS
FOLLOWS:
(1) EVERY COUNTY WHICH HAS LESS THAN 1 PERCENT OF THE
TOTAL POPULATION OF THE STATE, AS DETERMINED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF
HEALTH AND MENTAL HYGIENE, SHALL RECEIVE 1 PERCENT OF THE
BALANCE; AND
(2) THE REMAINING BALANCE SHALL BE DIVIDED AMONG
BALTIMORE CITY AND THE REMAINING COUNTIES PROPORTIONALLY ON THE
