[Nothing in this] THIS subtitle [shall] MAY NOT be construed
to prevent any person from doing or performing any of the kinds
of work enumerated in this subtitle[, provided that such] IF THAT
work is performed under the direction and supervision of a duly
licensed Master Electrician.[; but no such work, other] OTHER
than minor electric repairs for the maintenance of established
plants, [shall] OTHER WORK MAY NOT be performed [excepting]
EXCEPT under [such] THE direction and supervision of a duly
licensed Master Electrician.[, and the said] THE licensed
electrician shall be responsible for any and all work [so] done
under his direction and supervision. (1957 Code, sec. 218. 1951,
ch. 328, sec. 179K.)

12-12. Unlicensed person doing work; penalty.

(A) [Any] A person IS GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR who: [shall
practice or engage or continue]

(1)  PRACTICES, ENGAGES, OR CONTINUES in the work of a
Master Electrician without [having complied] COMPLIANCE with all
the provisions of this subtitle;[, and any person]

(2)   IS not licensed as Master Electrician;[, who
shall do or perform]

(3)  DOES OR PERFORMS any such work except under the
direction of a Master Electrician;[, and any person having]

(4)  HAS been licensed as a Master Electrician and who
[shall fail] FAILS to renew his license [as herein provided,] and
[shall do or perform] DOES OR PERFORMS any such work;[, or who
shall violate] AND

(5)  VIOLATES any of the provisions of this
subtitle.[, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon] UPON
conviction, [thereof shall be sentenced to pay a fine of] THE
PERSON SHALL BE FINED not less than [twenty-five dollars
($25.00)] $25 nor more than [five hundred dollars ($500.00)] $500
or [to an imprisonment] IMPRISONED not [exceeding ninety (90)]
MORE THAN 90 days, or both.[, in the discretion of the court, and
any] ANY such conviction AUTOMATICALLY shall [ipso facto] revoke
and annul any license that may have been issued to [such] THAT
person. (1957 Code, sec. 219. 1951, ch. 328, sec. 179L.)

12-13. License not transferable.

[No] A license or LICENSE renewal [of same] granted or
issued under the provisions of this subtitle [shall be] IS NOT
assignable or transferable, and every license and LICENSE renewal
[of same] shall specify the name of the person to whom it is
issued. (1957 Code, sec. 220. 1951, ch. 328, sec. 179M.)
