26.01.07.01 Salary Adjustments

General Fund Appropriation.........

Notwithstanding the provisions of
any other law $60,250,000

$55,230,000 of the General Fund
appropriation herein authorized
may be transferred by approved
budget amendment to the various
salary, wage, and benefit
accounts of the departments,
agencies, boards and commissions
of the Executive, Legislative and
Judicial branches of State
Government, for the purpose of
implementing both countywide
salary increases, for certain
employees paid according to law
on local pay scales, and
statewide salary adjustments for
other State employees including
those positions set out under
Article 15A, Sec. 20(c),
provided, it is the intent of the

General Assembly that this

reduction shall not impact the 6%
general salary increase for state
employees and that the salary
scales for all positions in the

agencies herein shall be

increased by 6%. The Governor in
transferring the appropriation
for the salary increase and

benefits among the several

departments and agencies shall
allocate the appropriation in
such a manner as not to impact
essential state services and
programs. , provided that salary
scales for all positions in the
