HARRY HUGHES, Governor                                         1659

SECTION 5.  AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That for the initial
terms of the board of directors, the chairman of the board of
regents will nominate 5 members 3 members, the President of the
Senate will nominate 2 members, the Speaker of the House of
Delegates will nominate 2 members, the Community Advisory Council
will nominate 1 member, and the board of regents through its
Committee on Hospital and Health Services will nominate 20 9
members for consideration by the Governor. Five Four of the
initial terms shall be for 1 year; 5 3 for 2 years; 5 3 for
3 years; 5 3 for 4 years; and 5 4 for 5 years.

SECTION 5. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That for the initial
term of the Board of Directors, the chairman of the Board of
Regents will nominate 3 members, the President of the Senate will
nominate 1 member, the Speaker of the House of Delegates will
nominate 1 member, the Community Advisory Council Committee will
nominate 1 member, and the Board of Regents through its Committee
on Hospital and Health Services will nominate 15 persons for
consideration by the Governor. Four of the initial terms shall be
for 1 year; 4 for 2 years; 4 for 3 years; 4 for 4 years; and 5
for 5 years.

SECTION 6. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1984, and if the transfer date does not take
place by June 1, 1985, this Act shall be abrogated and of no
further force and effect.

AN ACT concerning

Washington County - Public Local Laws - General Revision

FOR the purpose of generally revising and updating the Public
Local Laws of Washington County; correcting outmoded
references; deleting material no longer applicable ; ,
including provisions relating to return days, the Speedy
Judgment Act, and the Clerk; altering provisions relating to
the Board of Examiners and Supervisors; providing for the
interpretation of this Act; legalizing the 1984 edition of
the Public Local Laws of Washington County; generally
relating to the Washington County Code of Public Local Laws;
and providing for the effective date of this Act.
